License to Carry Classes in Houston
SGT Young takes pride in offering license to carry classes (LTC) for Houston and Harris County residents. As an experienced LTC instructor, he provides both online and in-person LTC courses for your convenience.
The Texas Department of Public Safety requires the proficiency demonstration (range instruction and shooting qualification) to be accomplished with an LTC instructor after completing the online LTC class. This is the same for the online license to carry class.

- Go to the bottom of this page to choose the online concealed handgun or license to carry class.
- Click on the “Texas Gun License Course Online” link.
- Then, click the “Pay Now” link to log in and pay for the course.
- Take the classroom part of the course.
- After you complete the course, make two copies of your certificate and then contact SGT Young to get your certificates signed and to complete the LTC course.
- Call SGT Young to set up at time to go to the shooting range and complete the gun certification/qualification part of test and complete the course.
- Finally, send in your information, completed forms, and follow their directions to receive your license to carry.
